Astronomy in Israel

Look up to the outdoor observatory of Eilat for a night-time sky safari. Navigate the sky and discover star clusters, nebulae, constellations, and planets in the dark dark desert sky. Under the guidance of a dedicated stargazer, and with the use of professional equipment, see the mysterious heavens above.

Explore the sky with a selection of quality instruments. You will use a XL200 telescope as well as  20x80 binoculars or one of the 8x50 or 10x50 binoculars. Photograph through the scope with your digital camera. 

Programs are suitable for all ages. Maximum 10 persons per group, and as few as two star-crossed lovers. Star safaris take place in the area near Eilat.

Soreq Stalactite Cave  is an 82-meter long cave with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites and the only one of its kind in Israel. The cave is located off Route 38, the Beit Shemesh region.
